Islam- The most beautiful set of life values

The last religion that Allah has chosen and confirmed for us is Islam, the last messenger is Muhammad (Peace and Blessings of Allah be upon him), and the last scripure is Quran. Quran is a book that Allah sent down in the Arabic language to Muhammad (Peace and Blessings of Allah be upon him). Quran is not only a book of belief, prayer, and morality, but also a book that adjusts the interpersonal socio-economic relationship in common principles.

Islam gives everyone a responsibility within their power. Islam has brought the most moderate and easiest judgments from a secular and religious, material and spiritual point of view. Islam has eliminated or made easier some hard judgments which were present in previous religions. Here is how it is depicted in Quran:

” Allah does not charge a soul except [with that within] its capacity”. (al-Baqarah-286)

Islam is the last ring of monotheistic chain that has continued since Adam (Peace be upon him). It invites all people to gather around Muhammad (Peace and Blessing of Allah be upon him). While other divine religions were sent down for the needs of a particular region or century, Islam was sent down to the needs of the whole world and all people till the Day of Judgement. Islam has valued man as a human being regardless of his/her race, color, language, and economic status, and declared that superiority can be obtained only and only through faith, fear of Allah, and morality. For this reason, an Arab has no superiority to non-Arabs, the white-skinned has no superiority to the black-skinned except for fear of Allah. Everyone came from Adam (Peace be upon him), and Adam had come from soil.

Islam has forbidden alcohol, gambling, misconduct, adultery, lying, oppression and injustice. He commanded goodness and help, justice, protection of the poor. The Messenger of Allah (Peace and Blessing of Allah be upon him) said that a person that sleeps being full while his neighbor is hungry cannot be a real believer. A person who does not wish for his brother (in Islam) what he wishes for himself cannot be a true believer either.

Islam required purity of the body and soul.An ablution made for salat (Islamic prayer) five times a day and a ghusl (ablution for the whole body) at least once a week, cleaning of clothes and places of worship, bedding, washing hands before and after meals, cleaning teeth are examples of material cleanliness. It is stated in the hadiths that the purity of a person is half of his/her faith and that the pure sustenance is blessed and healthy. Islam has considered learning and working for sustenance as worship and commanded working by setting the balance between world and the Hereafter. The first sent verse runs:

“Recite in the name of your Lord who created!” (Al-'Alaq 1)

It is said in another verse:

“But seek, through that which Allah has given you, the home of the Hereafter; and [yet], do not forget your share of the world. And do good as Allah has done well to you. And desire not corruption in the land. Indeed, Allah does not like corrupters." (Al-Qasas 77)

Violence, pressure, intimidation and causing suffer are inconsistent with the invitation method of Islam. The conversion of people to Islam through love and preaching is the basic principle. It is known that the Prophet (Peace and Blessing of Allah be upon him) was merciful and kind even to those who treated him harshly, abusively, and disrespectfully. His beautiful behavior is described in the Qur'an as follows:

“So by mercy from Allah, [O Muhammad], you were lenient with them. And if you had been rude [in speech] and harsh in heart, they would have disbanded from about you. So pardon them and ask forgiveness for them and consult them in the matter. And when you have decided, then rely upon Allah. Indeed, Allah loves those who rely [upon Him].” (Ali ‘Imran 159)

It is said in another verse:

“Invite to the way of your Lord with wisdom and good instruction, and argue with them in a way that is best. Indeed, your Lord is most knowing of who has strayed from His way, and He is most knowing of who is [rightly] guided.” (An-Nahl 125)

Islam has established the principle of “commanding good and abstaining from evil” for the health and sustainability of society. The Quran says:

“Cooperate in righteousness and piety, but do not cooperate in sin and aggression.” (Maida 2)

“You are the best nation produced [as an example] for mankind. You enjoin what is right and forbid what is wrong and believe in Allah” (Ali ‘Imran 110)

“The believing men and believing women are allies of one another. They enjoin what is right and forbid what is wrong and establish prayer and give zakah (yearly charity given by the rich) and obey Allah and His Messenger. Those - Allah will have mercy upon them. Indeed, Allah is Exalted in Might and Wise.” (At Tawbah 71)

In a Muslim country, every Muslim and non-Muslim have equal rights before the judge. Non-Muslim civilians have the right to live according to their religion. They are free in terms of establishing their worships, rituals, and family relationship. Islam has urged every Muslim to stick to the truth even if it is against him.

“O you who have believed, be persistently standing firm in justice, witnesses for Allah, even if it be against yourselves or parents and relatives. Whether one is rich or poor, Allah is more worthy of both. So, follow not [personal] inclination, lest you not be just. And if you distort [your testimony] or refuse [to give it], then indeed Allah is ever, with what you do, Acquainted.”(An-Nisa 135)

Islam declares that all believers are but brothers:

“The believers are but brothers, so make a settlement between your brothers. And fear Allah that you may                                                                                receive mercy.” (Al-Hujurat 10)

Therefore, the aforementioned features indicate that Islam is the most perfect religion. The principles contained in the International Declaration of Human Rights and many similar principles were established by Islam 1400 years ago. Islam has successfully implemented the principles that people are not condemned and undergone different types of treatment for differences in race, color, language, and religion. These are the principles that mankind stll have not been able to reach. The meeting of black and white, Arab and non-Arab, rich and poor, leader and officer side by side, and shoulder to shoulder in five times prayer and Friday Prayer, Muslims coming to Mecca from different parts of the world for performing this equality on an international scale are manifestations of brotherhood that otherwise is impossible.
